Tiffani is licensed as a nurse practitioner with a specialty in women and perinatal health. She has worked in the hospital emergency department, taught nursing students, done laboratory DNA extraction for Alzheimer’s research, and currently works at the Washington State Department of Health. During her time at the department, she coordinated a state workgroup engaged in addressing the impact of substance use on families. For the past 2 years she’s worked on hospital policy including the implementation of the hospital staffing legislation. She is committed to birth equity, eliminating racial and economic gaps in maternal and infant outcomes and working beside community partners to improve access to healthcare services.
